“This is how the (US-ruled) world ends
This is how the (US-ruled) world ends
This is how the (US-ruled) world ends…..”
And, as can be seen from the 2nd & 3rd charts above, and in the immortal words of Shirley Bassey…

Interesting stuff for sure. The $US is backed by it’s military and I can’t see this transition happening peacefully if or when it does occur. It may come to a point where certain countries have to decide in which currency they trade but I can’t see it being both Yuan and $US. Brent trades at a premium in the EU and you may see WTIC trade at a premium as well for countries with allegiance to the US? Countries trading Oil in Yuan may do so at a discount because they have no other option?
At the very least if these scenarios play out I would expect at least some military campaigns and famine in China, Russia and India. The North American population won’t be immune either IMO.
I cannot see how any of this could be a pleasurable experience for the general population.
It won’t.
I doubt they’ll be famine in Russia, China or India, they’re all fairly tough and self-sufficient people because they’ve had to be to survive.
The Snowflake generation in the US is going to suffer mass casualties.
Sorry, no time to answer your other questions.
I’ll bite. Ww2. The Americans were considered snowflakes
Japan was going to rule the world exactly nominally
I think anyone assuming Americans are panzies don’t have a clue
The Chinese have there own issues. However I will never rule out a adversary
I’m not trolling. I’ve developed a gallows/black sense of humor as a coping mechanism.
Snowflakes *aren’t* Americans, they’re a subset of the Millennial generation.
Read the last article. Most people assume war *has* to be between
countries – it doesn’t.
History didn’t end in 1946 IMHO and history teaches us that all empires fail
sooner or later.
Jenkin, good post I am currently listening to your Macro voices links. I do listen every Thursday to all their podcasts… great stuff. This particular special is a must listen, IMO. This post should be made a sticky for those who may have missed it.
Thanks, I don’t listen to all of MV’s interviews (time) but the ones I do are usually excellent.
Fully’s already stickied the main jist of the post:

It’s just that the 10 year really ties in with the thesis. As the US’s LT economic viability is questioned, the 10Y yield is going to rise
significantly and probably in a disorderly fashion. That’s when you’ll know the old order is definitely coming to an end. You would expect
the dollar to dump and the 10Y yield to be rocking at the same time under this scenario, the two moves go hand in hand.
