Proud of my country but not of Farage.
I am so proud of my country today more than any other day in my life, whatever happens in the economy because of it, stuff it, I don’t care.
Then Farage came on to speak and made a total ass wipe of himself on the BBC live.
You could start at 57 seconds if you don’t like to hear his voice:

Talk about foot in mouth. Both feet in mouth right up to the knee. “Without a bullet being fired.”
He forgot Jo Cox who took three bullets and was killed by the final shot to the head so it said on the news. He missed a great opportunity to make a moving tribute to her and just went on his way, all puffed up. It was actually terrible.
That’s a pretty good speech. Farage is taking a well deserved victory lap for the Brexit supporters. This is precisely the time to puff up your chest and charge forward, not apologize for winning. The fight is not over for Britain. It has only just begun. Cameron, like a coward, resigned in disgrace so that he would not have to do the things he promised, like invoking article 50 of the Lisbon treaty in the event of a Brexit. His resignation is the first move to keep the UK in the EU. That vote last night was not legally binding, and the globalists in the British Parliament will seek to annul that vote. Do not let your guard down. You are dealing with globalists, who passionately desire to make you and your loved ones their serfs.
Perhaps I am being a bit hard on old Nige. He has been the guy who made all this possible.
Indeed you are. The guy has spent the better part of his adult life on this and future generations of Brits will benefit as a result. No one is perfect, but if someone makes it their life’s work to help me hold on to my freedom, I’m willing to cut them some slack for a few misplaced words.
However I do agree that he missed an opportunity here. Also, a lot of people are losing alot of $$ in the short term so gloating is probably a bad call.
I agree with the comment about not a shot being fired – rather ironic.
Cameron is no leader…showed he’s a coward like most establishment politicians – it’s about what their (gov’t) position can do for them, not what they can do to empower citizens. Nieldavis2002 has it right – the true ‘success’ of the vote will only be known in the execution in the will of the Britons. I’m skeptical too but the first hurdle toward a more free and democratic Britain has been taken. I’m a US citizen and must say Brits and their exit leadership have shown more ‘nads in pushing this vote than our (conservative) representatives against our President and his globalist ambitions – WTF was he doing lecturing Brits on bremain.
I have always liked Farage. A brave man willing to take a stand for liberty
I really do thank you all for your well considered and profound comments, I am gonna cut Nige a little more slack. I particularly like that phrase, Neil: charge forward, not apologize for winning, especially the second half of it though I can see the importance of the first half.
I think it is the greatest day in Britain since I don’t know when. VE Day in 1945, perhaps.
The trouble is that in 1945 the nation was united as it could be – and now it is terribly divided. Much of that is of course due to the divide and rule policies of the political class who have sought to erode family, nationality, church and culture every day when they got up in the morning for the past 70 years. When I say that I mean the UK US and European political classes, altogether, of all parties, who are all really fighting on the same side and it is not the side of you and me.
