   Mark, I thought cup and handle formations were bullish continuation patters in an uptrend which implies a pattern that continues a bullish move and the daily JDST chart you show is in a downtrend and the first cup and handle formation looks more like a bearish continuation pattern in a downtrend and that first cup and handle formation did not go on to signal an UP move but rather a continuation of the downtrend….

   this ties into your thinking… i cant rule out a retrace back to the bottom fork line.. note how it did that last time to the left.. another note.. both these forks seem to be parallel despite being drawn from separate points

   Looks like $30 is hit in mid Sept. 4 months or so from the bottom of the fork, we hit the top.
