At this point in time, it probably wouldn’t be needed. If the US and Russia unleashed hell, Russia would probably survive. Most everything that Russia launched would find its target, whereas Russian air defences would take out many of the American missiles. Russia is a huge country. I’d guess some part of it would be viable once the smoke cleared, so to speak. Maybe a lot of it.
