The devolved administration made the pledge as it unveiled how it intends to make the country ‘anti-racist’ by 2030 and ensure ‘all areas’ of public life are transformed.

As part of this mission, ministers have set out an ‘Anti-racist Wales Action Plan’ which promises to pursue ‘shifts in knowledge, beliefs, experiences, and behaviour’ alongside ‘systemic and cultural changes’.

Efforts to build a ‘Woke Wales’ have led to a series of controversial initiatives, including spending £130,000 on instructing local librarians in ‘critical whiteness studies’.
