Similar to last week’s circuitous flight route from Moscow to Kaliningrad, which steered away from ‘unfriendly’ nations, yesterday’s flight from Paris to N’Djamena took an interesting path.  As bad as things are for France in Mali, they are worse in Niger, at least politically, to the point the Niger airspace is closed to France.  Maybe that also goes for Libya, as we did not take a more direct route over either of those countries, but we did fly over Mali.  Check out our flight path:
