Loading ...Boy, just helped my 13 year old grandson prepare
for a debate about why Robert E Lee decided to fight for the Confederacy instead of the Union.
What a conversation. Both mom and grandson had read things in the reference book that were not in there (I’m a student of the War of Northern Invasion.) So, set some things straight, introduced some information he would never hear in school and now he’s ready for his classmates to start yelling at him during the debate tomorrow.

Did the same with my son! Class project was to a pick a side and explain why… we did a little more research than the average 5th grader! Presented the whole thing to the class and his African American teacher. Teacher approved!!

Funny thing was as he finished getting his notes written he said, “So tomorrow I can look forward to being yelled at by my classmates for three hours.” He realized he’d be swimming against the “current.” Current being the propaganda taught in every damn school in the country
