Beautiful Baikal Greetings!
Now, I’m in a place called Severobaykalsk. It’s at the very north end of Lake Baikal. In March of last year, I was here for a week during winter. I decided to return now for an end-of-summer visit. There will be more later about this visit. Haven’t looked through the photo link yet, but wanted to comment on the charming old log house nestled amongst the fireweed. Perfection.
I think the helicopter is the civilian version of the Soviet designed MI 17 introduced, apparently, in 1975.
