BC was the first Jurisdiction to implement a Carbon Tax (2008) in NA.
The BC NDP are promising they would drop the hated, middle class destroying Carbon Tax if the Feds eliminate it. It is a sign that it was originally to appease the Greens and the Virtue Signallers. It does nothing but impoverish the population but was a cornerstone of the left. A goal of the Globalists of course.

The BC NDP are facing stiff competition from the surging BC Conservatives. BC Conservatives will axe the tax as will the Conservative Party of Canada. This is strictly a political move on the part of the NDP.

I know it is only anecdotal but I have not met many who will vote NDP in the Oct 19 Provincial election. As the subject of Covid is completely absent in conversation, the issue now is affordability.
