A while back, I suggested that after some reports and rumors about China’s President Xi, possibly having had a stroke, that he might have been incapacitated or died. I don’t believe there have been any pictures of him since March, despite one case of some pictures from that month being recirculated in July, to try and convince people they were current.

I think whatever is going on in China, whether from legitimate health issues(I believe he had a previous stroke or heart issue years ago) or a coup, it is likely to come out soon. Someone has to go to Russia in October for the BRIC’s meeting to represent the Chinese. What effect will news of a new leadership structure in China have on gold and are we seeing some of that in the marketplace already?
