Nvidia Reportedly Delays Next AI Chip As Shares Tank On Global Selloff
Remember seeing comparisons of NVDA to CSCO and the 2024 AI Bubble, to the 2000 Dot Com bubble? It may actually be worse than that. Those newer Blackwell chips, will likely be a bust compared to the success of the original GPU’s, because of competition in both performance, and pricing and the fact that the next phase of the industry will be different than the original, LLM training phase.
CSCO, while a significantly diminished company from 2000, is still around nearly a quarter of a century later, not so sure the same will be true of NVDA in 2050? https://goldtadise.com/?p=624033

While technical reasons for a delay are possible, there is another more ominous possibilty. Given all the hundreds of billions that all the large companies have spent on the first generation GPU’s, and the fact that almost no one is seeing any real ROI on that spend, those companies are probably backing off the timeline for when they want those newer chips delivered, at least slowing it down. That is likely to lead to NVDA, when they report later this month, to maybe still have good earnings for last quarter, but lower forward guidance. If that is the case, the stock is going to get crushed.
