– The power to detain, isolate, or quarantine.
– The power to prescribe preventive treatment.
– A member of the police may do anything reasonably necessary, including the use of force.
– Restriction of movement of people into or out of an area.
– Restricting travel within or out of New Zealand.
One can only hope that Aragorn stayed in New Zealand after the filming of “The Lord Of The Rings”. He alone might induce Gandalf The White to join him once again to undertake the perilous fight for good against evil.
Thank you for that reference Strider. On the topic of LOTR – and Palantir (the co.) being in the news lately – , not to get to wonky, but do you recall the effect it had on Samwise when he gazed into one (seeing stones) with Saruman on the other end – the fact that it’s akin (in my opinion anyway) to our smartphones, which correlates with the company’s purpose of existence (I presume you know what I’m talking about). Also recall the chapter “The Voice of Saruman” (I liken it to NPR). I find it hard to believe when naming Palantir the company, along with it’s purpose, the relation was accidental. I do in fact believe Palantir does have evil intent toward the citizens of the US. Just say’n.
