I think Trump will be surprised how little sway he now has with Russia. Russia will dictate the terms of peace to Ukraine. Trump will agree to them, or keep spending tens of billions to watch Ukraine get smaller and less populated. It’s quite possible that he has no idea about Russia’s military superiority. Russia has stated that the US is “agreement incapable”. Trump himself pulled the US out of the INF Nuclear Treaty with Russia – a colossally stupid move.
New Russian versions of the missiles that the INF Treaty banned are likely to find a home in Venezuela and Cuba if NATO continues to allow Ukraine to strike Russia.
