While the IC/Admin have been trying to get rid of Trump for almost a decade, and they are no doubt unhappy that their assassination attempt failed, this event can now unleash a chain reaction of events. The Dems are desperate to get rid of Joe but don’t want Kamala either.

Now after this attempt on Trump, the door is open to a narrative of some right wing nut job taking out kackles. Joe may need to stay the candidate until the Dem convention so he can then drop out and still legally transfer his campaign funds to the new candidate. This also allows the time necessary for him(actually his handlers) to choose their new VP.

After approval by the Senate Joe drops out of the race and possibly resigns the Presidency so the new VP can run while being the incumbent President. The dominos have just started to fall.
