I must disagree with the assertion. It is, of course, troubling that our ruling class lacks morality. What is truly terrifying, however, is that they are so completely stupid. I have accepted that we are no longer democratic. As Churchill said, the best argument against democracy is a five minute chat with the average voter. What I can’t accept is that the people with power seem to be absolutely incompetent! Think of all the western leaders. Would you let any of them even mow your lawn?

Of course they have known about Joe being incapable of performing his duties for at least months. The timing was all about threading the needle. If he was pulled too early they would have to put Kamala into the Presidency. By doing it this late they can insert a new candidate(that they have selected long before) without having to get rid of her(at least in the minds of most voters) They may not pull it off but that was the strategy. Did they over expose Joe’s deficiencies to the point where the public are screaming for an immediate change in the Presidency even before the election? I think not, even though that should have been obvious long before now.
