When a door panel ripped off an Alaskan Airlines flight after takeoff on Jan. 5, Boeing’s fortunes changed overnight.
Curious if anyone here at the TENT has any developing big-picture (end-game) reasons for the sudden onslaught of Boeing mishaps. It’s in the news everywhere and on a fairly frequent schedule for the past few months (almost stock suppressive I’d venture). Then we have ‘suicides’ and such. I’d like to hear any and all ideas. Thanks.
Also, is the target Boeing or the US airline industry in general and how will things unfold.
Hard to say if it is just a case of a company whose mgt. went off the rails in forgetting about engineering and quality control because they were trying to cut costs to inflate earnings and the stock price, or if there is also a deliberate campaign to sabotage the company. Could be both.
Concurrent to the negative Boeing press is the positive Chinese press for the new state-owned passenger jet manufacturer – COMAC…………
China’s aviation regulator has issued a production certificate allowing mass production of the C919 narrow-body jetliner, Commercial Aviation Corp of China (COMAC) said Tuesday.
The C919, a rival to the Airbus A320neo and Boeing 737 MAX families of single-aisle aircraft, had received an approval certificate in September declaring the model safe to fly, but each of the manufactured aircraft needed individual clearance from the regulator for production.
