Exactly. I have been saying for years that what we need is a good old fashioned recession/depression to re-establish priorities. Turning off the tap of government largess will be wonderful sobering for the woke crowd.
The Universities are taking a hit. This may be the start. They are the indoctrination centres.
My neighbour is a Prof at the local university. Yesterday was the first day of the “Summer” term.
The number of International students is way down, especially from India.
Something to do with The Turd and Modi spat and visas. She mentioned that she may lose half her courses in the Fall as they will just bundle the classes to fill them up.
Also the high cost of living and inflated tuition fees are putting off the other international students. Even domestic students are rethinking the value of a college degree.
When we hear that Canada took in 1 million immigrants last year, a good proportion are on student visas that can lead to a PR (permanent Residency). Like a Green Card in the US. A Student Visa allows one to work XX hours a week to help out expenses. Many are finishing up and leaving the country as it is better back home. Imagine that! Jobs are drying up this year. At least the ones that have a living wage attached to it. I didn’t know that. I’m obviously not paying attention.

And unfortunately, I get the sense that it will have to GET REAL for western social justice warriors to face the reality that the only way to raise your standard of living revolves around MERIT and traditional values, like the protestant work ethic. Protest all you want. That’s what two year olds do. They do catch on eventually, if their parents are any good.
