I rarely see any auto collisions. I know they still occur.

Just now a mini Van and a Tesla collided when the Van shot across the busy road and the Tesla t-boned the Van. Within minutes a VFD pumper truck appeared (station only 1 km away).

Was the battery pack envelope damaged? Neither vehicle appeared operational after the crash. I guess they were being cautious. The Fire Truck arrived first. By the time I left, there was no police presence.

I wonder is this Standard Operating Protocol to have the Fire dept attend EV collisions.

From what I’ve been told in the past, the Tesla will be towed to a facility that handles them and they will park it far away from other vehicles and structures (fire risk). Good luck getting it fixed for a long time.
