Allegedly, the Japanese buried the plundered Gold in the Philippines.
As the war came to a close, US Intelligence discovered the looted treasure. President Truman and members of the Intelligence Community kept this secret. They used these unaccountable funds to fight the Cold War, interfere in foreign elections and deploy covert operations all over the World. Any Nazis Gold had the same treatment and was run through Swiss accounts.
It appears to be well documented. No one really knows how much there was or whether it has been exhausted. At the time it was discovered, it was felt that if the hoard was revealed it could collapse the price of Gold ($35usd) that was held in Central Bank reserves. Possibly like the effect the Inca Gold had coming back to Spain centuries ago.

Exactly correct, this is one of the greatest lootings of all times and no one ever talks about it. As a side note when I was a kid back in the 1960’s we went on family ski trips to Switzerland and I always recall adults (swiss particularly) speaking about how well fortified Switzerland was during the war and it kept the Nazis from invading. It wasn’t until I was an adult and could think for myself that I realized this was pure bullshit. There was only one reason Hitler allowed the Swiss state to remain “neutral”, to be Hitler’s banker where he could launder looted treasure and the Swiss were only too eager to prostitute themselves.
So the US funded it’s CIA in the post war years with this stash most likely and once they ran through it they didn’t stop. What do you think Building 7 was all about. Destroying the records to several Trillion of unauthorized spending.
