As a parent, I never liked the idea of participation trophies for my kids. They just don’t work well in teaching life lessons.

Then, living in California, I have seen the highest state taxes ever, my county charges 9.75% sales tax, and all the county and state is money spent on “helping” undocumented illegals.

Now, amidst the swing from the highest surplus to the biggest deficit in a 5 year span, the state is not able to account for billions of missing dollars, as in what were they spent on!

We always talk about the ever-elusive auditing the gold at Fort Knox, but this audit of California tax revenue spending should be much easier right?

Corporate examples:
A few years ago, Apple stopped reporting how many iPhones they are selling, and just report the total revenue.
Now Netflix says they will stop reporting the number of subscribers!

Now, they are throwing out the idea that even grades can be “massaged” for equity?
