AI Is Going To Be A Huge Overhyped Bust
Doing high volume research of lots of pieces of information is the best use case. Helpful and time saving but not the great panacea many hoped for.
In about the same 18 months or so it took from ChatGPT’s intro in Nov.2022 to now, the stocks will have come back to earth and most of the hype will have faded into the backround.
Still in its infancy. Its power will grow exponentially, starting slowly now, and growing over time. Think of the Stanley Steamer’s evolution into the Ferrari.
So what this video is saying is that AI is giving us the average of everything flattened to the lowest common denominator and that it cannot discern high points from low as a result of how it collects and processes information.
“AI is giving us the average of everything flattened to the lowest common denominator”
Static thinking. Maybe true today, but I’m with KenS.
Just like the computer couldn’t always win a chess at first.
Now it can’t lose.
I am a patent attorney (I work in-house), but one of the outside attorneys my company uses told me his client, Qualcomm, asked if he could use AI to write a legal brief. That is scary.
I think it’s probably prudent that everyone own a stake in AI companies as a hedge against losing your job in the future. I wish I was kidding.
