20 minutes (press conference)
Probably unconstitutional. It should be called the “Save My Ass Act”. Meet the new Speaker. Same as the old Speaker.
Hat tip to boom! He had him pegged from the start.
I wonder what the magic number of populist Republican representatives is that will allow for some legit progress!
I’m on record here that if Trump is upright, he’ll win by ten to fifteen points. That number should have major coat tails.
And no, I didn’t watch the press conference. These people make me want to puke!
Isn’t this current law? And wouldn’t this (implicitly) create a carve out for state and local? (Those are likely state prerogatives as its stands)
Yes, Boomer was right. But …. he’s never told us who he would prefer that could win. Ie, a lost cause to hope. Until the RINOs are all evicted.
Johnson is not a RINO
BUT well over half of his Caucus are.
They are Controlled . All it takes is 2 or 3 to threaten to leave ( with huge offers ) and we get that other guy .
He just has to survive till the election
Next congress should have fewer RINOs …hopefully
BUT it turns out he did vote against the Warrant requirement …if he had voted for it it would have passed by 2…so thats BAD
There was a post on “X” stating that House of Representative rules are that a “tie” is an automatic loss.
It stated that Johnson did NOT vote agains’t the warrant requirement.
This may or may not be true / false — does anyone know the House rules on ties?
Did Johnson vote prior to the tie??
Found the post — still don’t know whether Johnson voted before or after the tie………..anyone??

21 hours ago — Their anger was aimed most squarely at fellow Republicans, including Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.), who voted against the warrant requirement
He voted before ( nay…so his vote was pivitol )
