   It might serve us well to broaden our view on what constitutes women’s rights. In the west liberal abortion laws and preferential treatment in employment, education and the law have been defined by women themselves as essential to their happiness. All have been accomplished. The result, certainly, is that both women and men in the west are more miserable than they have ever been. We mock more traditional societies for their repression of women, yet I wouldn’t be surprised to find women in those societies far happier than in our own.

       In disagreement with you about some other issue Fully, I mentioned something about the natural world. Perhaps being in tune with the natural world might allow us to more easily accept sex based roles. I really don’t agree with being hard-assed about the acceptability of certain human behaviours. We all fit along a spectrum in most of those. Nevertheless, since the mid twentieth century we have been dragooned into a fight against a sex based reality. It hasn’t worked! A quarter of the younger population can hardly define themselves as one of the two sexes. In other words, they are mentally ill!
