“The reduction in hours of operation and programs will affect the number of hours worked by many on-call, some to the point where they may not receive any hours,” a statement from Denver Parks and Recreation Director Jolon Clark read in-part. “The final decisions on hours for any individual position have not been made yet.”
They’re not calling it layoffs, but it definitely sounds like some people may not have jobs anymore.
Just another example of how progressive states and the Feds can manipulate and distort the data. Like my quoting from Jeff Bezos yesterday about when there is a disconnect between the data and anecdotes, the anecdotes are usually correct because the data is not being correctly measured. In the above example if these workers never get laid off but never are given any hours to work, they are effectively unemployed but can’t collect U/E and don’t get counted in the official numbers.
