Trudeau signs $3-billion security deal for Ukraine on 2nd anniversary of Russian invasion
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau signed a deal in Kyiv on Saturday committing Canada to a $3.02-billion security assistance package for Ukraine, a milestone event to mark the second anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion. He was joined by Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, European Commission President Ursula Von der Leyen and Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo.
The $3.02-billion funding commitment from Canada is for the current year. How much will be committed over the 10-year lifetime of the agreement is unclear. The visit also comes as Zelenskyy’s government tries to pass a revised bill to expand mobilization in Ukraine.
Fucking little shithead never asked anyone about this. Where the hell are the checks and balances?
And what about the average Canadian who cannot afford groceries?
Jeez. Wish I knew where the hell to flee to….
Many options in South America.
Paraguay, Uruguay, Argentina, Mexico (many Canadians there now)…etc
Get out before its not possible to leave.
Just curious: are you in one of those countries?
No, not South America. I live in Asia, a BRICS country. But I have colleagues and friends in South America, who have already moved there. Feedback is that it was best decision in their lives.
Problem is, one of us agrees and thinks we should leave before it’s too late, the other thinks we should stay and refuses to put the house on the market……
Suggestion: Take a flight to Mexico and connect with Canadians living there now. Then take another flight to Uraguay, and meet up with Doug Casey, to pick his brains. Doug can be contacted via his social media channels.
After the above information gathering, return to Canada and have a serious discussion. I think by then, both parties will be on the same page.
it is not too late. But if you just wait around for another year, and do no research/travelling on a Plan B now, it may be too late come late 2025.
Just my own thoughts of course. You have to make and walk your own path to freedom. And it is not in Canada!
“Take a flight to Mexico and connect with Canadians living there now.”
I presume you mean Chapala and Ajijic, just outside of Guad.
I spent considerable time there ten years ago, and liked it but it was growing too fast to last. Walmart was just going in. Very easy to find the expats there.
This Trudeau giving money he does not have to stop. I do not know how to start a petition but there should be one regarding foreign financing.
It should state that Canadian Government cannot give any money or gifts to any country until our own country has no national debt. As we know this $
are going to be borrowed and we taxpayers are on the hook not just for the principal but interest forever. I am sure that thousands of Canadians would sign this. BTW, does anyone know how much we already gave to Ukraine alone?
It is not only putting Canadian taxpayers on the hook for the money, but also these taxpayers are effectively funding the Azov Battalion, who have shown they are neo-Nazi’s; and one individual, living in Canada, was invited to the Canadian Parliament, and was given standing applause by all politicians!
This is all on the public record and everybody knows it. And they are funding it with your money!
Maybe I will try to contact Leslyn Lewis, who did a petition on WHO
