A fully shotted neighbour had an episode at our house
My neighbour has had all the C shots and other recommended seasonal ones.
He was in our foyer dropping off something. He was describing some condition he has had the past couple of years. With his limited grasp of the English language it sounded like he was having TIA’s. He suddenly mentioned that it was happening right now. Looked like he froze in place and lost colour. Only lasted a few seconds.
His Doctor is baffled but time to get another shot.
They are baffled! Can’t be the Safe and Effective shot.
Wow…well then better hurry up and get another shot to finish the job
sheesh
The same thing happened to an in-law of mine. He is elderly, near 80, not quite.
He was umping a ball game, and when calling a close play at first base he suddenly froze.
The players were asking, Safe?… Out?… Safe…?
He was frozen in place, had no idea of what just happened.
Thereafter he decided to heed my warnings of these last few years.
It only took 5 shots for him to finally see the light. Five!
He still umps sometimes for seniors, even plays a bit, is allowed to pitch occasionally.
But he has sworn off the shots. Too late?
Possibly neurological. Mini strokes?
We have a neighbor we’ve gotten to know the last couple of years. Really nice couple, for some reason they like us enough to extend a rare invitation to spend a week at their summer place at the beach in Massachusetts. Fun people, very active, never seem to sit still. We enjoy their company and the parties they have, great food, and beautiful home. Former teachers both, and sold on the shots. They’ve had ’em all.
He’s had a couple of strokes and a heart attack – late 60s early 70s. He’s been told he has “leaky pipes” and high risk for a massive stroke. We have never said boo to them about the shots because they don’t want to know. They are happy in their life “bubble” and who can blame them – they do everything they enjoy doing every day (except for the recent health problems of the hubby.) I say this because once upon a time, I made a passing reference to the fact the our “central bank” is private – the government and the people don’t own it. She inquired about that and I laid out a very simple explanation my 13 year old grandson would have understood.
“Above my pay grade,” she responds. “I don’t get it.” Ditto on explaining paper ?money” – she simply has no interest in understanding, nor does he. I think their perspective is it would threaten the life they have carved out. Oddly enough, I agree with them. It would turn their world upside down, and at this point in their life it matters little if they die understanding or die merrily swimming down the river.
