It all depends on the business. Some industries are seeing demand for new technology that provides a better product (innovation). During recessions and depressions many new businesses get off the ground. Can source some good talent from those who are laid off.
Will know in a few months if a group I’m involved with will re-open an operation that we mothballed a few years ago in Ontario. Demand has changed for the end product that is not sourced off shore.
Most of our future growth may be in India for cost savings and the demand is there.
