including entire cabinet
at least one MAJOR surprise, at the top

Column is good, but as always, its the comments that count.

That sounds GREAT
all of it
It’s basically a declaration of war with a bunch of inexperienced Generals. This list would not be smart at all. This is the oldest, and dirtiest, game in the world. It’s one thing to be a true believer, it’s another altogether to know who’s throat to cut, and how to go about doing it. In most of these portfolios the more important hires are the seconds in command. These should be people that most of us haven’t heard of before. Trump has had plenty of time to consider his options. We can only hope he has learned tremendously from his first go-round.
I will add that Trump should have long ago found his consiglieri. That person should be much smarter than he, and much more knowledgable about the deep state. Washington insiders should already know who he is, and already be shaking in their boots.
Various names do not appear.
Admiral Rogers, who tipped 45 off on the FISA spying early on.
Mike Flynn, who knows where the bodies are buried.
Kash Patel.
Devin Nunes.
45 did not find loyalty with his picks. Not Pence, not Barr, not Sessions.
But confirmation is a hurdle (for some cabinet posts). He needs both.
He will also need some folks with ears on the ground, who can navigate wherever needed without undue suspicion. Tucker and team perhaps. Bannon and his entourage.
And there is also Col McGregor, ideally in a very senior advisory role. Head of Joint Chiefs?
As for VP and 2028, I’m not on board with Sundance’s nominee here. Need sharp elbows.
Kari is not seasoned enough yet, as CEO of AZ, or in DC. O’Biden was “smart” with Harris, as she protects his six (no one wants her in). Who will protect 47 that way? Someone even more determined, and won’t back down, and knows how to secure protection.
All good points, PD. The VP should be someone who scares the swamp even more than Trump. Lake is my choice. If Trump keeps her close, and she learns from his experience, she could become formidable. She is tough, and that is the one essential characteristic. The pricks play hard!
If you want tough try Gaetz
