Not a Nothingburger: My Statement to Congress on Censorship – Matt Taibbi
The key question in censorship is always the same. Who’s doing it?
For time reasons, I had to cut my actual address a bit short Thursday. This statement, which began with a nod to Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, is what was entered into the congressional record:
While the key question of who is doing the censorship, might be important to understanding why they are doing it, the bottom line is, censorship needs to be universally rejected. It doesn’t matter who is doing it, it is wrong and objectionable and shouldn’t be tolerated, anywhere, in any context, period.
