I think he has it right. It isn’t perfect but it is much better than when McCarthy caved and gave Biden everything he wanted. This is basically a reset that will either force the Dems and the Rhinos to start cutting at least around the fringes or else shut the govt. and let the automatic cuts go into effect next year.
The more I think about it the more I believe that is the plan and it is brilliant. Almost all of the current Congress got elected by spending and promising to spend on behalf of their constituents.(Mostly corporations and special interest groups) Most of them aren’t going to vote for cuts and jepordize getting reelected. The plan is to have nothing passed and let the automatic cuts be triggered. It isn’t a lot but gets the ball rolling in the right direction.
