Even the MSM is predicting a bad political outcome over Castreau’s Carbon Tax pause for those who heat with heating oil. I’m all for phasing out heating oil for a cleaner heating source but the Liberals are relying on electric Heat Pumps. Air to air Heat pumps work fine in mild climates when the building is well insulated and built to certain specs. In Cold harsh climates they struggle and an auxillary heating unit is required for comfort and cost when the temps drop. A Geothermal Heat Pump is very efficient but the up front cost is prohibitive.

It appears the low IQ Liberals have blundered again but this time they have pissed off all parties and the Environmentalists. I know Castreau admitted that he’s not good at math but is there no one advising him on reality.

He has enraged the average Canadian who is using a cleaner burning fuel already and will not get a break on the tax.

The failure of Net-Zero policies are becoming mainstream.
