Singer-songwriter Five Times August takes aim at rock legends in his latest single “Ain’t No Rock And Roll,” in which the lyrics call out rockstars who showed vocal support of government mandates during the coronavirus pandemic.
Five Times August, the stage name for Brad Skistimas, is toted as being the “counter culture to cancel culture” which was proven to ring true in the new rebellious track, produced by Baste Records
The music video features rock legends such as Mick Jagger of The Rolling Stones, Gene Simmons of KISS, Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters, and others. Included in the video are previous headlines and remarks from these performers who supported government mandates, only performed for vaccinated audiences, and disparaged fans who disagreed with government lockdowns.
In the track, Skistmas calls out The Rolling Stones as “sellouts,” takes aim at the Woodstock generation, and says that singers of all genres have been bought and paid for.
Skistmas sings, “Well there ain’t no rock and roll, ever since they sold out Rolling Stones. All the words that were sung in the past, will never feel the same when we’re looking back. There ain’t no peace and love, ever since the sixties kids grew up. The blues has lost its soul, all the punks gave the man control, and every pop star’s bought and sold.”
Other famed musicians joined Skistmas for the new track. Jim “Moose” Brown, a former member of Bob Seger’s band, performs keys on the new single, while Ira Dean, a bass guitarist who previously collaborated with Staind lead singer and country artist Aaron Lewis, plays guitar, and Pete Parada, a former drummer for The Offspring, is on the drums, Timcast News reports.
Baste Records head of A&R Chris Wallin told Timcast News: “It has been an absolute pleasure working with Five Times August on his upcoming single ‘Ain’t No Rock And Roll.'”
“I feel truly fortunate to be a part of a creative movement and people who are no longer afraid to put out music that reflects their beliefs as people and their artistry. When I first started in this business these were just called simply, ‘Artists,’ and that’s exactly what Five Times August is, a true and authentic artist standing up for what he and a lot of us believe. And that is a beautiful thing,” Wallin told the outlet.
So these rock bands, like Foo Fighters and Rolling Stones, never actually believed anything they sang.
So now we know they are just scumbags and charlatans, in bed with the medical criminals.

But there is music that I won’t let go of easily. Even if I don’t subscribe to their politics. FORTUNATELY, I listen to such obscure stuff that nobody cares what THEY think of this or that. Don’t have much use for most headliners these days. This merely gives me another reason to shove them further back into a forgotten corner of my past musical tastings. Like Bono, I suspect. He’s certainly a globalist. What about Peter Garrett of the Oils? He went INTO politics. Did he ever come out?
