Toronto apartment complex bans electric vehicles, citing fire risk
Ban applies to electric bikes, motorbikes, unicycles, hoverboards, mopeds, Segways, skateboards and scooters
Oberon Development Corporation posted the notices at 110 and 120 Jameson Ave., which state that electric transportation vehicles are not permitted anywhere on the property, including in apartments, the garage, parking spaces and lockers.
“If you have any of these vehicles, please remove them from the premises immediately,” it adds.
Toronto Fire Services told CBC Toronto that it has responded to 10 fires related to lithium-ion batteries in residential high-rises this year.

This should become widespread everwhere, but WILL it? Much like cellphones and radiation despite the evidence of definite health risks, the economics were too great to worry about protecting peoples health. EV’s should be forced to switch to NON lithium batteries but the economics are so powerful that it won’t happen anytime soon. Many more fires and deaths will occur.
Ha….Ban EVs …..love it
Not EV’s just lithium battery EV’s. New battery tech on the horizon. Hydrogen power.
Sign me up for a hydrogen car. I like that idea.
