I remember seeing this story but never saw that it was debunked. Where did you find any news as to it being a false story? I still assume it is true since I haven’t seen any proof otherwise.
The attacks were not on whether the story content was correct but rather focused on whether the Buffalo Chronicle was a “real” newspaper. Argument was Chronicle was a farce so story couldn’t be real. It’s been years since they shut this story down so I don’t remember exact details but recall that EVERYTHING was available on the internet. Just enough “stuff” to NOT KNOW whether the story was valid – thus too dangerous to repeat without confirmation. Poilievre has opened the door for a conversation to be had.
If he/they did pay out $2.5M to the young lady than what would they have paid to shut down the entire story. Not a single newspaper in Canada reported on this rumour — how much would that have cost? Did the Liberal party cover all or part of the cost IF the story is true?
As I recall, the father was chomping at the bit to speak out if he could only figure out how to do so without hurting his daughter AND the signed documents were shared with the US newspaper. Again, all of this is available by searching the net — start with Buffalo Chronicle and it will lead you to the rest.
Lastly, the story was included in a series of books reviewing pedophilia throughout North America (names names across NA). It was the final chapter in Book #5 – this was just one of many Canadians highlighted. Unfortunately, I don’t remember what the 5 book series was called. Publisher/Author was ex-CIA with help from ex-military intelligence writer. Publisher died under mysterious circumstances in hospital during COVID.
All 5 books are available on-line (they were free way back when – may still be) as well as hard copy published.
