At age 19, Michael Yon successfully completed Green Beret training. His Green Beret experience taught him the art of observing and surviving in the most dangerous environments on earth. Combining his skills as a writer and a photographer, and with the encouragement of fellow veterans, Michael began his correspondent career by traveling to Iraq in December of 2004. Michael sounds serious. It is not hard to see what he is seeing. A private army funded by the wealthy but protected by the authorities. But the point is what? To take peoples land and property? To save money and end entitlements? The country will bankrupt anyway beecause the source of wealth (which is the people) will be destroyed. Then what? Default? But how does that make a better change? None of it needs to happen. None of it even makes sense. Like going into your own chicken coop, smashing all the eggs then killing off the chickens just so you can have different chickens and a lot of unrepayable losses. What?
