Wow! A North Pacific Treaty Organization. A completely defensive group of countries dedicated to mutual protection. Now that would be great idea!
The way they have phrased it technically avoids the US & NATO’s bullshit redlines which are toothless anyway. What if China did provide weapons? What are sanctions going to do? They surely have had a minimal effect on Russia and would be even less effective against China’s larger and more diverse economy.
One effect would be the disappearance from NA shelves of anything manufactured/sourced from China — including prescription drugs, rare metals and finished goods. There would be minimal if any effect on China as they shift their markets to friendlier countries.
