Unless Schwabby and his ilk are somehow able to steal or fix this vote it looks like the Swiss are going to insure they don’t go cashless any time soon. I love that they are a “direct democracy” where a proposal can be put forward by the public and if enough votes are cast for it it gets put into law. Of course there are plenty of ways for TPTB to minimize such proposals (they could pretty much circumvent a cash requirement by limiting the actual amount of cash in circulation to such a small amount as to make it useless) but I wish we had more of a direct democracy and less of Congress doing the bidding of big corporations and monied interests. https://www.reuters.com/markets/europe/swiss-vote-preventing-cashless-society-pressure-group-says-2023-02-06/
