Dependency
Over the years I have observed my neighbours actions.
Some are the do it yourselfers regarding home maintenance and snow removal. Some are here full-time but I never see them lift a finger to fix something that requires attention. They have the time but it’s not in their DNA to deal with it. I entirely understand foreign owners and debilitated hiring out the work.
The Branch members, as it turned were the ones who had no thought of taking action themselves. They rely on the Municipality to take out the snow berm in front of their driveway. Essentially blocked from getting the car out. They are entirely dependent upon someone else.
They tend to be the academics, keyboard workers, non-trades type persons, who have concepts but no practical real world experience. Not running down teachers but…..
Adhering to the Branch and Climate Change almost go hand in hand.
They NEED the State to tell them what to do. They either never learned the skills, have blind trust or have a dependency attitude. One Branch neighbour complained about the 70% increase in piped in Propane costs last year. I asked if he could turn down the thermostat and put another layer on. That didn’t go over very well.
When the water costs rose a few years back he complained. Told me he had to run the hot water for almost a minute before it was warm for his shower upstairs. He was wasting all that water. Asked if he had a bucket or two to collect it while getting warm. Use that water to flush the toilet all day. Not interested, I guess that was too much work. He’s a climate change adherent and has no concept that he is wasting energy and resources. Same as the private jets flying to Davos.
I will be asking him if he has his 6th shot next time I see him.
He loves his shot and says the Corona prayer everytime he comes down with Covid and it could have been worse.
These are the WEFers, the academics who can not come up with practical solutions to a simple problem. The Davos adherents will do a lot of damage before we stop them but they will fail. We can think and outsmart the bastards. I don’t mean to run down people on the forum if that pertains to you, it’s just an observation. We the awakened will take us out of this but not without a fight. Stay mentally strong and physically as fit as possible. Spread the word. Do not give up!
My rant for the week!
Columbia, great observations, as usual. A likely result over time is that there will be a thinning of the herd as a result of the shot lovers becoming extinct eventually. The Davos crowd wants population control so at least they are reducing the number of dumb sheeple.
You make a very good point. And I agree totally.
It was the truckers who protested the tyranny after all.
These people are hands on and connected with the real world, where they have to do it themselves to get by.
Whereas, the academic elites, do not want to get their hands dirty, and cannot do basic maintenance around the house, and have to rely on third parties to fix things.
When the next depression strikes (2025 to 2028) these people may not pull through it, unless they are prepared to learn some trade skills, and get their hands dirty.
The depression should level the playing field, and eliminate all this climate change dogshit, as the elites go bankrupt.
Columbia and Spock totally agree but at 74 I was raised in a era when our fathers were raised in the depression and did and taught sons to do what you could. Let’s see how the
next generation does relying on someone else
Speaking of dependency, I was just thinking about how in the U.S. there are many people who are totally dependent on government and other charitable folks for EVERYTHING.
There are disabled and poor folks who either can’t work or they don’t want to work.
Then there are retired folks who live off of social security income and/or state pensions. Some retired teachers, police, firefighters and other former state employees in the U.S. are receiving annual state pension benefits that amount exceed $150,000 or $200,000. These funds are extracted from homeowners who pay outrageous property taxes in certain blue states.
In addition, there are corporations, and their employees, who make a nice living off of government grants (federal/state) and monies received from private investors. Many of these companies are involved in so called green energy projects.
Not to mention the many dubious charitable organizations that live off of government grants and private donations.
How many Libtards does it take to change a lightbulb ?
It only takes one to change it, but thousands are needed to debate whether or not the bulb really wants to be changed, or if the bulb feels compelled to be changed by unrealistic expectations imposed on it by a lucent normative world.
