weather permitting
Traditional Greetings!
Since the early 1980s, it’s been a tradition for me to cross-country ski to Green Lakes on New Year’s Day, weather permitting. The weather co-operated on the first day of this new year to make the trip. Here’s a link to photos:

Wishing you all the best in 2023!

Wow….GB….YOU live in Paradise …Your Great Photos never cease to amaze
Thanks, FGC. Yes, I do live in Paradise; being out deep in nature like on that ski trip really makes that clear as a bell, but it’s Paradise all the time. Amazing beauty is everywhere; we live on such an outrageously beautiful planet, it would be all but impossible for me to see and experience the ‘gold nuggets’ that always surround me. I even have a cool little gizmo that not only records images of my experience, but it also draws me into the scenes and shows me perspectives and details I would miss without this tool. Later, the images enhance and extend the experience, indefinitely.
Yesterday, I had dinner with unvaxxed friends. This was after he had taken me for a fantasy flight in his plane, out around the desert open to the east and buzzing the snow-covered mountain where we fly hang gliders in warmer months. We’ve done a lot of stuff together for 40+ years.
Over dinner, we were giggling about what we had just been doing, marveling that we can do pretty much anything we want to, things that seem to fall into the realm of fantasy. We talked about how we’re all thankful we’re so blessed with a continuous flow of experiences beyond imagination, oftentimes on the edge, while others are for some reason unnecessarily fearful even when nowhere near the edge. They mentioned the increasing incidence of health issues and deaths among their vaxxed family members and friends, puzzled by what’s happening, especially in light of what’s possible.
It’s all a puzzle. It’s also Paradise.
