FREE SPEECH FOR ME BUT NOT FOR THEE
from JC
Free speech for ME, not for thee. The fallout from Musk’s suspension of several reporters for doxxing continued yesterday. Most of them have now been un-suspended, but the good news is that pearl-clutching lefty journalists have a brand-new respect for free speech.
It’s like they had no idea what being suspended on social media felt like. But they were only suspended for a few days. They should try being Coffee & Covid for a while, and get the full experience.
Here’s a funny before/after example, from Washington Post’s pro-doxxing reporter, Taylor Lorenz:
Ta-da! Twitter just created another free speech champion! Seriously though, these people wouldn’t know a “principle” if it smacked them in the face with a kippered herring. Whatever that is.
Musk still seems to be a trifle upset, for some reason, that journalists published his kids’ location in real time, getting his kids attacked.
Elon might have a point. Real-time doxxing is illegal in California under Penal Code 653.2. Contrary to their hysterical, bleating protests, it is NOT constitutionally protected speech. Link.
The teenager with an alarming skin condition who started the ball rolling by setting up an account providing real-time tracking of Elon’s jet’s location, worsened his situation yesterday by adding extortion to the list of crimes
He wants a Tesla! You can’t make this stuff up. What a world.
