The EU maintains that there are issues with the rule of law in Hungary which must be addressed, objections which arose following long standing criticism of the pro-family and anti-illegal migration polices pursued by Fidesz, Hungary’s ruling party.
Orban gave a frank appraisal of the real dimension of this disagreement………It is not about reforms, he says, “it’s blackmail, pure and simple.”
I believe I have read that Orban cancelled repayment of the EU-loan till further notice. Standstill.
Also he has vetoed the provision of $30B cash to Ukraine from EU. Ursula is trying to find a way to give the $$$ anyway despite the veto.
