german-gas-storage-over-90-full-despite-russian-supply-cuts
Is this govt. political spin, or reality that all the doom talk about Germany shutting down and Europe freezing this winter just a bunch of “hot air”? Probably a bit of both. Things are challenging but not as bad as the headline writers make them out to be. https://www.barchart.com/story/news/10285939/german-gas-storage-over-90-full-despite-russian-supply-cuts
There was an article last week explaining how natural gas flows into and out of these storage facilities. It was suggested that they work on a “vacuum” type basis where the gas flows into the storage tanks and cannot get back out unless there is a flow in the pipeline that creates the opposite “pull”. It was speculated that (With Nordstream I turned off and Nordstream II not yet started) the Germans could have the tanks 100% full and not be able to access the gas inside same.
IF True this would be catastrophic for citizens that are assuming they have a safety supply.
