Sheep exactly. This officer is saying basically what Chris Sky said a year ago. Do what the law says and ignore anyone who tells you something different. And expect those tickets to be dropped before they ever get close to a court date. It’s all bluff.
I wonder how many cops felt like this when they were enforcing those public gathering limits? Or the ones on Parliament Hill in Ottawa checking people’s bags for Canadian flags and confiscating them?
Phones have really changed how these things develop now. Everyone has video evidence to show in court.
And how about that point that most of the customs people in the airport are recent university student hires who have only had a token course? Imagine what it would be like if they replaced almost all of the police with such people who knew nothing about being a police officer except how to shoot a gun or slap handcuffs on people?
