Theresa Tam, Canada’s chief public health officer, has just dropped a modelling ‘study’full of sciencey voodoo arguing that, without lockdowns, Canada would’ve seen “up to” 34 million infetions, 2 million hospitalisations and 800,000 deaths. That’s a 2.4% infection fatality rate, and a 5.3% population-wide hospitalisation rate, in a country that only has (at most) 38 million residents.
