     Golf, like the rest of the world, used to be pretty simple: black tees were for the “pros”; blues for the long hitters, white for regular guys, and reds for the gals (and seniors, eventually.)

     Now the reds are kind of inbetween what used to be blacks and blues. Then you have whites, and then greens and then another tee box for women. It is very confusing. Last week I played from the reds which were a bit shorter than the old white tees. The guy I played with hit from the reds, between 15 and 30 feet behind me depending on the hole.

     So it’s all changed, and there is no “standard colors” anymore it seems. If there is, I haven’t figured it out yet. When I play at my son-in-law’s course with my grandsons in North Carolina, I play from the whites. Which sometimes have a green on the same tee box. What the heck, 6,000 yards for 18 is about the limit of my range.

     I’ll do my best to hit ’em long and straight. And putt true to the hole…

   That was wild today. I’ve haven’t seen such wild swings like that in awhile. Usually it’s just a slow ride down to hell but things seem to be looking up. Definitely a good sign. Glad I bought a bunch of Signal Gold first thing in the morning. WOW!
