Addressing Homelessnes
While not a perfect solution (there isn’t one) this seems like a step in the right direction. Given how many churches(of all denominations) there are across the US, if each one provided as many of these small houses as feasible for their space and financial resources, a significant dent in the homeless population would be possible. Better than people living in the streets and government shelters. https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/churches-across-us-build-tiny-homes-amid-worsening-affordability-crisis
Perhaps instead of sending $billions to help Ukrainians, and lining pockets of the middle men, a % of that goes to building these shelters for the US homeless.
Or is that a step too far ?
End the Fed, and central banking.
Stop enabling borrowing by the federal govt (Freddie, Fannie, FHLA, HUD), to make homes “more affordable” with subsidized borrowing, that only serves to drive UP prices thereby conferring capital gains on those who got on the treadmill first.
I’d welcome thoughts on why prices have skied all over the commonwealth and other places, but I would guess central bank purchases of sovereign bonds (via Ctrl-P of electro currency units out of thin air), and generating negative rates, has folks going out on every limb they can find.
AND … stop taxing interest income, and instead tax interest expenses, over some modest deductibles (per capita).
My guess is that big money is smelling a global bond default in 5-10 years and money is starting to flow into hard assets for protection.
