I think Jen Psaki just lost her Humanitarian of the Year award. At a press conference yesterday:
REPORTER: “…if you can’t find formula and you need it for your baby to eat, what should they be doing?”
PSAKI: “We would certainly encourage any parent who has concerns about their child’s well-being to call their doctor or pediatrician. Next question.”
Let them drink cake! We must save Ukraine!
So there you have it, the official policy of the U.S. government. Docs, get ready, I hope you’ve stocked up on formula.
I had a question about this issue. I pretty much remembered growing up in the 50’s and don’t remember anyone talking about baby formula at that time. I looked up the fact(didn’t realize) that baby formula was invented by a German scientist in the late 1800’s? Do you folks who are in your 60’s and 70’s and had kids 40 or 50 years ago buy baby formula back then? I may be completely unaware on this topic but pretty much remember most parents didn’t buy formula decades ago. After the mother breast fed they used regular milk that the whole family drank? I relize that a lot of things have changed over time but is this not just another industry created to maake more money by the companies that sell formula?
