When I suggested to GMG that we go back to my Amish/Mennonite roots to survive the Great Reset she wanted no part of it. We lived among them for 13 years in Ontario. They are very industrious, self-sufficient and non-complaining for the most part. The defectors can tell lots of stories. They may appear meek but they have strong opinions but do not force them on the secular world. Trust in banking and insurance policies is very low. Only to the extent that they need to complete a transaction. Cash is King. I always paid them in cash for any service they provided. They would likely be good Gold and Silver holders. Never discussed it with them. Their wealth goes into land and productive equipment. They finance the next generation’s land purchase with cash. A community effort. Look at the barn raisings.
It’s not only a harsh austere life but women are subservient to their husbands.
If your wife dies during childbirth you quickly find a younger wife to carry on. You have to with all those children and the chores that seem to never end..
If a husband dies, the community looks after your family but you are no longer a sought after commodity.
You see how that works.
Just my take on it.
They do not participate in politics unless the Bishop has a vision that they need to speak out. When they do vote it is definitely Conservative.
And they’re unvaxed!
LOL and fertile
And….meek
