   Yes, they will. At least one or two 50 basis point increases. If the stock market crashes hard enough after that, they will probably pause to see what happens next. I don’t think they will be able to do all the increases the market has priced in, but that is the point. They always jawbone to get the market to do the tightening for them. They have to show some credibility after missing the boat and waiting so long to start, but they are unlikely to ever reach positive real rates. Neutral is probably the best they get.

   The Fed isn’t raising rates.
   The market is.
   Fed has no clothes.

   At some point fairly soon, I do expect a relief rally (in rates). It won’t last long.

   You basically said what I commented but the FED did raise rates (only 1/4) so far) but they talk a good game to get the market to raise rates.
