Don’t make the unvaxxed scapegoats for hospital overcrowding – National Post
Hospital capacity issues date back at least 20 years and seasonal illnesses are a familiar strain each fall and winter. This year, the culprit is the Omicron variant. As of Feb. 2, 2022 in Ontario, there were 1,497 fully vaccinated cases in hospital and 207 in ICU, with 573 unvaccinated cases in hospital and 179 in ICU. As a proportion of the population, a far greater percentage of unvaccinated people require acute care services, but too few to blame for our longstanding problem.
